IA5: Catalytic active layers for air treatment

Product description

The products active filtration material is based on nanofibres with the addition of chemically or biologically active substances. Active filtration material decreases the concentrations of dangerous gasses or microorganisms in the air. The filtration material is possible to use in the systems for air treatment in buildings or factories. This material is possible to combine with individual filters or complex filtration systems

Highly efficiency in bacteria disposal in the stream of air using PU nanofibre layer in addition with antimicrobial substances

Product advantages

Nanofibrous material with chemically active substances is able to decrease the concentration of dangerous gasses in the air. It is mostly NOx, CO and volatile organic substances (VOC).

The material with biologically active substances is able to capture and dispose of dangerous bacteria and viruses.

Parameters:

• Flow rate 5 – 20 cm/sec

• Pressure: 100 – 1000 Pa according to the flow and surface

• Construction: possibility to combine with other filtration materials

 

Comparison with other products:

The challenge of air treatment is presently being solved with active carbon. This process is time consuming and does not have the required life span of the filter. From economic reasons it is not possible to use high temperatures. Antimicrobial effect is being solved with the injection of active substances into the basic filters. This treatment is time-limited. The second option is using high grade HEPA filters which are very expensive. Our technology has therefore high potential.
