Exhibition "The Hairy Kingdom | Insects under the electron microscope“

Delve into the fascinating world of insects through macro and microphotographs captured with the cutting-edge UHR-FE-SEM Zeiss Ultra Plus electron scanning microscope. Detailed images reveal the micro-sculptures of insect surfaces in a never-before-seen form.

The author of these unique spatial photographs is Ing. Pavel Kejzlar, Ph.D., a scientist from the Analytical Methods Laboratory at the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovations of the Technical University of Liberec. The insect objects were selected and prepared for photographing by Jiří Preisler, an experienced entomologist and a long-time external collaborator of the Natural History Department of MUZA | North Bohemian Museum in Liberec.
