CXI joined the Czech Nuclear Association.

26. 2. 2021

On February 18, 2021, CxI joined the Czech Nuclear Association, z.s. (CNA). "We hope that the membership will enable mutual cooperation on various projects in energy, consulting or research activities," said M. Černík, who signed the document.

CNA's goal is to support and promote the construction of new nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic. This will lead to the strengthening of the Czech economy, the maintenance of energy security and self-sufficiency of our country and the preservation of education in the field of nuclear energy, which Czech companies and universities still have at their disposal. Due to the growth of electromobility, industry 4.0 and the phenomenon of new energy, the flexible and predictable performance of nuclear power plants will ensure a key stabilization role in the Czech energy system and thus guarantee a safe and reliable supply of emission-free energy.

CxI is currently actively involved in projects related to the storage of nuclear waste in a permanent deep repository. Activities are aimed at calculations of the fracture environment, migration of radionuclides, THMC (thermo-hydro-mechanical and chemical) processes and microbiology and corrosion on the surface of the storage set of spent fuel cells.
