Indian mission: representatives of CXI held talks in Bangalore

1. 7. 2022

Miroslav Černík and Pavel Kejzlar visited Bangalore in India in the past few days. The aim of the visit was to present the scientific activities of CXI and FM, as well as the results achieved within the HyHi project. During this short visit, they held several meetings with representatives of universities and other institutions. One of the professional stops was the Chamaraja Wodeyar statue at the local Lalbagh Botanical Garden.
This statue is currently being restored. To avoid microbial contamination, it will be treated with a photocatalytic coating developed at TUL.

Together with a representative of a local company AlgaClean India and a representative of CzechTrade, they successively visited JAIN University, CENS Centre and Ramaiah University. We are actively seeking opportunities for joint research and student exchange. The discussions so far have led to common themes in the field of green technologies, photocatalytic surfaces, functionalized nanomaterials and their use in environmental protection and also in the energy sector.

"The university representatives have received us very warmly and have shown great interest in joint research. None of the university representatives had been to the Czech Republic before, so they accepted our invitation to visit Liberec and the Czech Republic," says Miroslav Černík, Director of CXI.

The meeting with Mr. Pushpak Prakash, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Bangalore, about the transfer of the results of the HyHi project to India was significant. "Especially technologies based on polysaccharides from Indian gums have the potential to be implemented", added Miroslav Černík.

CzechTrade representative Mr. Kameník invited both CXI representatives to an informal dinner at a local restaurant, where they offer guests Czech beer, which they also brew themselves.
