Saxon business delegation visited CXI

On Tuesday 6 December, representatives from the Zentrum für Innovation und Technologietransfer from Hochschule Zittau, Brandenburgische Technische Universität, Industrie und Handelskammer Dresden and Frauenhofer Geselschaft Zittau visited CXI with their business mission from the Lausitz and Saxony region. They were interested in active research and development opportunities in the field of additive manufacturing in industry, specifically metal 3D printing. In addition to presenting our research program and services in the field of 3D printing and surface treatment, the visitors toured the laboratories and had active discussions.

"Applied research in collaboration with industry partners is one of our priorities. Cooperation with our research centre means access to the latest scientific knowledge, which we can effectively apply in practice thanks to our partners. CXI can therefore also provide consultation and advice to small and medium-sized companies that do not have their own research (so-called R&D) department but want to keep in touch with technical and technological trends. I believe that the beginning of our mutual cooperation "over the border" has started with this meeting," says Světlana Trejbalová, from the Department of Industry Relations at CXI.

The main purpose of the mission is to find potential partners for the current call of the INTERREG-FREE STATE FREESOM-Czech Republic 2021-2027 programme. The next meeting with representatives of HSZG Zittau, IHK Dresden, Frauenhofer Gesellschaft will take place early next year.
