Modular micro-house made of composite materials for urgent situations in warm-humid climate - COMPHOUSE

The main objective of the project is to develop a modular temporary micro-house envelope made of polymer composite materials for urgent situations, which could be both used in emergency scenarios or as transitional shelter. As in South Asia such climatic events are likely to change in unpredictability, frequency, and severity, project will mainly focus on warm-humid climate. The partial objective of the project will be the development of the individual elements of the modular system, which will consist of composite panels, composite frames and, in particular, modular couplings. The project will also focus on the possibilities of active use of components from composites in terms of complementary and non-traditional functions (eg as a water reservoir).
