Monitoring and Mineralization of microplastics across sustainable drainage systems

The project includes applicable work packages for developing, labelling, standardisation and regulatory measures on the intentional release of microplastics within urban and sub-urban environments and includes meticulous methodologies to increase the understanding on tracking, capturing and remediation microplastics across various sections of the natural environment. MinPlas further develops and harmonises methods for measuring unintentionally released MPs and aims to deliver a harmonised dataset and reporting of microplastic concentrations for various catchments across European surface drains and stormwater discharges.
