Project:
Rainwater harvesting systems: efficiency assessment
Registration number:SS06020034
Realization period:01.04. 2023 – 31.12. 2025
Leader at TUL:Mgr. Pavel Hrabák, Ph.D.
The main goal of the project is to elaborate methodology of evaluation of rainwater harvesting system (RWHS) efficiency and, using this methodology, to evaluate real installations of RWHS in the Czech Republic as adaptation measures to climate change. Project partners will perform passportization and cataloging of RWHS from a material and operation point of view. In addition, the quality of accumulated rainwater will be monitored. Passportization and monitoring will provide data for LCA and CBA. With the help of software tools, LCA and CBA will be conducted for individual types of RWHS. For comparison, alternative rainwater treatment (such as aquifer recharge systems) will be used as well. As a project output, a classification of RWH will be possible from a sustainability point of view.
This project is funded with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic
