Utilization of waste material from limestone quarries in combination with biochar in order to improve soil properties of agricultural areas

The main goal of the project is the utilization of fine-grained fraction waste from limestone quarries. This waste will be tested in combination with biochar in pelletized form in different soil types under the conventional and ecological farming conditions. The study will be focused on (1) changes in soil properties, (2) reaction and (3) yield of cultivated crops after the application of various doses and the composition of limestone. Determining the suitable mixture composition will help to use this material in agriculture and will introduce the tested product into trade chains.
