Project:
Interseasonal energy independence of buildings using renewable energy and hydrogen storage
Realization period:01.09. 2023 – 31.08. 2026
Leader at TUL:Ing. Pavel Srb, Ph.D.
The aim of the presented project is to build a hybrid energy system concept consisting of a storage system based on the principle of storing electricity from renewable sources such as photovoltaic panels or wind power plants by generating and storing hydrogen by electrolysis, and a system for supplying electricity and heat based on the fuel cell principle. In advanced systems, both the electrolysis and the fuel cell function should be integrated into a single device, the reverse fuel cell.
