Project:
Vývoj hybridní technologie eliminace pesticidních látek pro úpravu pitných vod
Registration number:TQ03000324
Realization period:01.01. 2024 – 31.12. 2025
Leader at TUL:Ing. Magda Nechanická, Ph.D.
The project aims to develop a hybrid technology combining sorption and biodegradation processes to remove chloroacetanilide pesticides and their metabolites from raw water prior to drinking water treatment. The developed unit will consist of three main parts, sorption, biofilm and disinfection, the order of which will be determined within the project to achieve the highest possible efficiency in removing pesticides. A suitable sorbent will be selected based on the sorption capacity of chloroacetanilide pesticides for the sorption stage. The biological part of the unit will use microbial strains with high biodegradation potential fixed on biomass carriers. The final part of the hybrid technology will be a disinfection stage to remove microbial contamination at the technology outlet.
