The goal of the project is to develop and prepare for commercialization a sensor for fast, sensitive and low-cost detection of harmful contaminants in water and thus provide effective tool for limiting the introduction of pollutants into the aqua envi. The sub-goals of the project are: - Develop a new generation of ultraporous sensor materials that will change their optoelectronic properties upon contact with the contaminant. - Design and verify methods of detection of these changes and their conversion into outputsignals. - Design and implement a sensor prototype for pilot verification of the detection of the presence of contaminant in the aqua envi.
