Innovative technology supporting the soil microbiome through the application of biochemically active humic substances from carbonaceous raw materials

The project aims to develop a technology supporting soil microbial communities and a complex improvement of soil properties, which will increase cultivated crop yields. The technology will be based on delivering additives with a high content of biologically active organic substances to the soil system. Its principle will be based on applying humic substances contained in natural carbonaceous raw materials (oxyhumolites) or in combination with thermally processed biomass (biochar). The effectiveness will be verified by three-year systematic tests on pilot test field areas, where the effect of these additives on soil properties, microbial soil communities and the vegetation condition of cultivated crops will be monitored.
