Project:
Research and development of technologies for long-term sustainable operation of sites with combined groundwater pollution and low pH - MonAReMa
Registration number:FW12010460
Realization period:01.03. 2025 – 31.12. 2027
Leader at TUL:Ing. Jaroslav Nosek, Ph.D.
The aim of the project is to develop materials and remediation technologies applicable to problematic sites with combined organic and inorganic contamination in groundwater with very low pH. This project is a logical continuation of the previous research activities of this research team (Trend 3). The main focus here is on long-term sustainability, economic low-cost and compatibility of the technologies with the planned future use of these sites. The technology suite will consist of a passive part, where a durable material will be developed for underground sealing walls in these challenging conditions, and an active part, where groundwater recharge will be developed and optimised by simple pre-treatment and subsequent incorporation of environmentally friendly physical and biological systems.
