Project:

Technologie in situ elektricky podporované mobilizace a oxidace extrémně vysoké organické kontaminace

Registration number:FW12010141

Realization period:01.01. 2025 – 31.12. 2027

Leader at TUL:RNDr. Jan Němeček, Ph.D.

The project aims to develop and validate an innovative technology for the remediation of sites contaminated with LNAPL composed of petroleum hydrocarbons and solvents through remotely monitored and controlled in situ electrically enhanced biological and chemical oxidation. The technology will use advanced survey methods, followed by online monitoring and control of remediation activities, including heating and mobilizing the light phase, oxidizing it with sodium persulfate, and final treatment through anaerobic oxidation with sulfate-reducing bacteria. This approach will optimize costs, reduce remediation time, and minimize environmental impacts. The result will be a validated technology ready for deployment at the Ostramo site and other contaminated locations and number of other outputs.

This project is funded with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic under the TREND Programme.
