Development of recycling methods of thermal insulation waste based on mineral fibers

The aim of this project is to develop a technological procedure, including machinery for the recycling of certain types of waste that arise during the production of thermal insulation systems and also at the end of their service life (e.g. during the reconstruction of buildings). So far, this waste has ended up in landfills in huge quantities. The aim of the project is to recycle this waste and, after reprocessing, return it to the market in the form of a new, innovative product with comparable or in some parameters even better properties, and thus contribute significantly to environmental protection and significant savings in energy and primary raw materials within the framework of the circular economy.
