Project:

Implementing of the advanced augmented reality methods as one of the Industry 4.0's pillars into designing and developing an industrial product

Registration number:TH03010353

Realization period:01.01. 2017 – 31.12. 2020

Leader at TUL:Ing. Jindřich Cýrus, Ph.D.

The primary objective is to effectively implement advanced augmented reality in designing and developing the industrial product and thus implementing one of the Industry 4.0 elements at this stage of production. Currently, the development of virtual technologies and their penetration into almost every sphere is seen, including automotive, where time and cost of developing new models play a key role. Virtual reality is often routinely used here, but it has certain limitations and disadvantages that can be eliminated by using mixed reality. However, more robust deployment of these devices is pending due to some technical limitations such as field-of-view, a non-optimized model for AR needs, real-time environment scanning, etc. Avoiding them will be a research part of a project.

This project is funded with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic
