Project:

Conversion of Mercury to Solidified Mercury Sulphide

Registration number:FV40270

Realization period:01.01. 2019 – 31.12. 2020

Leader at TUL:Mgr. Vít Novotný

Developing, verifying and manufacturing a continuous mobile mercury stabilization device, the output of which will be cinnabarit analogue - naturally occurring substances. Create a fully automated mobile device that continually converts incoming mercury 99.9% into Mercury Sulphide dispersed in an inert solidifier. The output will safely meet the conditions for mercury leaching and evaporation. The technology that will be the output of our project is not in Europe and our intention at the end of the project is to achieve a utility model entry. The output will be a unique technology developed together with the Technical University in Liberec. According to the objectives set by the National Priority of Oriented Research, Experimental Development and Innovation (NPOV), the project is classified primarily under Area 4. Environmental technologies and eco-innovation, sub-area 4.3, VaVal 4.3.1. New recycling technologies, the output of which is comparable to quality with raw materials.
