Project:

Hybrid optical fiber sensor system for sensing the level and quality of vehicle operating fluids

Registration number:FW03010210

Realization period:01.01. 2021 – 31.12. 2023

Leader at TUL:doc. Ing. Stanislav Petrík, CSc.

The aim of the project is to develop a hybrid optical fiber sensor system that will enable simple, reliable and cost-effective level sensing of vehicle operating fluids. The system will be able to detect critical changes in the quality of these liquids in parallel with the level sensing. The operating fluids on which the proposed system will be verified - will be the basic operating fluids (brake fluid and fuel). The subject of the project will be the design and implementation of demonstrators, which will be used as basic tools for specific research and development of optical fiber sensors for individual applications in several variants (single and multilevel liquid level sensors, liquid quality / pollution sensors).
