Application of the modern methods of modeling for development and testing of a fire doors

An evaluation of fire doors is very difficult due to complex requirements of standards. It is necessary to perform expensive and time-consuming tests for a certification. The project is focused on modelling of the behavior of fire doors during a fire. Models can simulate fire resistance and smoke control and they allow more effective optimization process. The aim consists in cost savings during innovation process of existing doors and in a development of new type of door for higher safety.
