Registration number:23-06473J
Realization period:01.01. 2023 – 31.12. 2024
Leader at TUL:Dr. Vinod Vellora Thekkae Padil
The current proposal highlights the fabrication of MXene-reinforced biogum nanocomposite 2D (Two dimensional) membrane, and 3D (three-dimensional) sponge with lamellar structures will be achieved via electrospinning and 3D-printing techniques. The developing Mxene reinforced biogum supramolecular ink will be modified through photo-crosslinking, chemical crosslinking, and Ionic crosslinking to allow the material to be cured post-printing to maintain the thermodynamically stable, mechanical, and thermal properties. Furthermore, fabrication of biogum-derived carbon nano/microparticles via carbonization process, and thus fabricated Mxene (the word “MXene” refers to Ti3C2Tx in this proposal, unless otherwise specified) reinforced tree gum-carbon nanocomposites (2D and 3D structures) would be investigated their enhancement of properties and applications. The porous structures with functionalized carbon nanostructures based on MXene reinforced biogum carbon composites will exploit for environmental remediation and energy storage purposes.
