Development of biodegradable hearing protection from nanofibers with a high degree of attenuation suitable for application in demanding specific conditions

Abstract: this is a 4-year research of earplugs with the advantage of using degradable materials. The research will include verification of the synergy of passive damping using new nanofibrous materials with active sound damping. During the project, TUL / CxI will plan experiments, together with other co-researchers ensure the production of nanofibers from various polymers (even biodegradable), solve the adhesion of nanofibers and especially verify the acoustic characteristics of new products, design and implement a measuring track.
