The present project deals with the development and testing of a special protective surface treatment that would delay and resist burning. The aim of the project is to develop easily applicable substances that will significantly increase the fire resistance of critical infrastructure components and rescue equipment. The need for such resources increases especially with the increased probability of crisis events (fires, terrorist attacks, war activities), when a lack of sufficiently resistant materials (cables and construction materials for improvised buildings) needed for effective operational elimination of the consequences of these events can be expected.
