Project:
Composite adsorbent based on carbon nanotubes for large-capacity drinking water treatment
Registration number:FW06010424
Realization period:01.01. 2023 – 30.06. 2026
Leader at TUL:Mgr. Milena Johnová
The project is focused on the development and pilot verification of sorption technology based on a regenerable adsorbent composed of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for drinking water treatment. The specific objectives are: 1. Optimization of the adsorbent and modification of its properties in order to maximize the hydraulic parameters in relation to the adsorption performance and the removal efficiency of specific contaminants (pesticides, pharmaceuticals, PFAS). 2. Pilot plant verification of an optimized adsorbent in series with activated granular carbon (GAU) in order to increase the efficiency and economy of operation compared to the standard installed GAU. 3. Development of sorption filter with combined filling based on CNT and ion exchangers for removal of PFAS from drinking water.
