Smart Rain Flow

The aim of the project is a "smart" retention tank with advanced functions in the areas of monitoring, rainwater harvesting and controlled emptying of the tank. The monitoring will include a set of physical and chemical sensors to control the quality of the rainwater. An element using the concept of diverting the initial rainfall water to the by-pass of the retention basin so that the most contaminated water (rooftop first flush) does not degrade the water quality of the retention basin will be included. The entire system will then be controlled by software containing self-learning modules that will monitor the volume and quality of stored rainwater, collect weather forecast data and send recommendations to the end-user via a mobile app.
