Project:
Monitoring of irrigation water quality for agricultural purposes
Registration number:QK23020073
Realization period:01.02. 2023 – 31.12. 2025
Leader at TUL:Mgr. Pavel Hrabák, Ph.D.
The aim of the project is to map existing pollutants and identify new pollutants contained in irrigation water (IW) used in agriculture. Irrigation systems that draw from surface water in the Polabie region will be investigated. Water will be collected directly from the outlets of the irrigation systems at selected locations during the season. Here, new pollutants will be searched for in the categories of Organic Molecules, Inorganic Pollution, Microplastics and Microbial Pollution. Active autosamplers will be used for sampling, the analyses will be carried out in an accredited testing laboratory at TUL. The output of the project will be a database of results linked to specialized maps, a final report commenting on the pollutant concentrations found.
