4. 9. 2024
The Technical University of Liberec (TUL) will be one of the main players in the second edition of the Spooning
Challenge - Pokoř Petřín, which will literally take place on 5 October 2024 in Prague. This unique event combines sporting performance with the latest technology and scientific innovation. The event, organised by the Connecting Army, will this year feature not only military specialists but also leading Czech universities, including the Technical University of Liberec (TUL).
The main attraction will be the time trial at the Petřín Lookout Tower, but the real gamechanger will come in the form of technological innovations. Researchers from TUL, together with CTU, University of Pardubice and ČZU, will show visitors the best of their portfolio. There will be autonomous vehicles, drones, nanotechnology, 3D printers, AI in practice and many other gadgets that are currently among the global leaders in research and development.
"We perceive the Spooner Challenge - Pokoř Petřín as an extraordinary opportunity to show the public the importance of supporting science and research," comments doc. Ing. Michal Petrů, Ph.D. from the Technical University of Liberec. "We want to introduce visitors not only to our technologies, but also to how our experts contribute to innovations that change the world."
The event will also feature autonomous vehicles, mobile water purifiers and modern simulators. This event is therefore a great opportunity not only for technology fans, but also for anyone who wants to learn more about where research is heading at Czech universities.
If you're looking for a weekend event that combines an adrenaline rush with technology, the Spojařská výzva - Pokoř Petřín is the right one. Come to Petřín on 5 October and find out what's new in the world of innovation and see the best of research from Czech universitities.
