Researcher Fatma Yalcinkaya in Stanford University's prestigious ranking

Fatma Yalcinkaya, a researcher from CXI TUL, has been included in the prestigious group of top scientists in the Elsevier Data Repository. This repository features the 100,000 most-cited scientists according to the so-called c-score. Fatma not only actively contributes to publishing, but her work also has a significant impact in her field, which is key to her inclusion in this distinguished list. The Elsevier Data Repository is curated by Stanford University.

Fatma Yalcinkaya has ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide across various fields in both the Career-Long Impact Ranking and the Single-Year Impact Ranking for 2023. This recognition marks the fifth consecutive year of acknowledging the quality of her scientific work. "I feel honored by this opportunity. It is a prestigious database, and I am truly delighted to be among the best scientists globally across disciplines. This recognition of my work is something I deeply value, and at the same time, it is a commitment for the future," says Fatma Yalcinkaya about her placement.

C-score (composite indicator score) is a metric that evaluates the scientific impact of authors based on the total number of citations, author positions in publications, and self-citations, enabling an objective comparison of scientists across different disciplines.

With this achievement, Fatma reaffirms her influence and contribution to science, and her name has now joined the ranks of the global elite in her field. Fatma's research focuses on functional nanofibers, the electrospinning method, surface modification of nanofibrous membranes, and various aspects of wastewater treatment, including microfilters, oil separation techniques, hydrophilic and hydrophobic membranes, distillation, desalination methods, proton exchange membranes, HEPA filters, and microbial fuel cells.

Scientists in the Elsevier database are classified into 22 major scientific areas and 174 sub-fields, highlighting the diversity and relevance of the cited works.
