Linear core-shell type textile formation containing a shell of polymer nanofibers and filtering device for filtering gaseous media

In the present invention, there is disclosed a linear core-shell type textile formation comprising a shell (2) of polymeric nanofibers and a core (1) comprised of a linear fibrous and/or microfibrous formation, which comprises per 1 meter of its length at least 100 fibers (11) with the length of at least 1 mm, which fibers (11) protrude over the formation surface. The shell (2) of polymeric nanofibers is then put onto these fibers (11) and is coupled therewith by a natural physical adhesion among these fibers (11) and the nanofibers of the shell (2). There is also disclosed a filtering device comprising at least one filtering layer that comprises freely deposited or wound linear textile formation of the core-shell type.
