Project annotation:
The center aims to accelerate the development and industrial scale-up of plasma, laser and additive technologies for the preparation, treatment and gasification of industrially useful materials. Although the individual technologies have had a number of recent successes in industrial deployment, their potential is far from being exploited. Given the breadth of this potential and the future impact on the changing economy, mastering, developing and integrating these technologies is a task of strategic importance. Sub-projects within the Center address issues across the entire product lifecycle from production, through recovery to disposal, all with an emphasis on environmental friendliness and mineral recovery.
Within the NCK MATCA, the Technical University of Liberec is involved in 3 research packages dealing with production metal 3D printing and composite materials processing.
