IPI System
Ing. Darina Liederhausová, Ph.D., ING.PAED.IGIP
Interferometic Particle Imaging (also known as ILIDS) measures the size and velocity of spherical, transparent particles such as spray droplets, glass beads or air bubbles in water with sizes (3um - 1000um). The main components are a pulsed laser with light optics, a dual camera system and software on the DantecDynamics platform. The lab has a pair of 16bit HiSense Neo dual-frame cameras with 5.5MPx resolution. In this way, the PIV system can be interfaced with IPI and the velocity field and particle motion can be measured simultaneously.
Laser Doppler anemometry
Ing. Darina Liederhausová, Ph.D., ING.PAED.IGIP
Laser Doppler anemometry (LDA), also known as laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV), is an optical technique ideal for non-intrusive 1D, 2D and 3D point measurements of the velocity and distribution of turbulence in free and internal fluid flows.
