Project annotation:
The project directly builds on the existing NanoEnviCz research infrastructure programme and complements it in the area of critically missing instrumentation and expertise. The acquisition of new instruments will strengthen the research potential of the infrastructure and lead to the successful achievement of the scientific objectives aimed at synthesis, comprehensive characterisation, optimal tuning of functional properties and elucidation of potential applications of nanomaterials in the context of environmental protection and in the determination of their potential hazard. Two instruments are part of the project at TUL: LC-HRMS for identification and determination of pollutants, drugs and their metabolites in environmental and medical matrices and NMR for validation of the chemical structure of newly synthesized nanomaterials.
