Research at CXI is divided into 3 subcategories:
Nanomaterials in the natural sciences deals with basic and applied research, advanced technologies, including hi-tech analysis of not only environmental pollutants. A strong emphasis is also placed on the synthesis and testing of various nanomaterials as well as their validation in practical applications, especially in the fields of water treatment and remediation. An accredited laboratory is available.
Competitive engineering combines research and development in the areas of manufacturing and automotive industries with great application potential. The departments support the industrial activities of entities not only in the adjacent regions and focus on the application of new technologies and technological processes to ensure a higher degree of innovation in industrial production.
System Integration focuses on research and development of modern software solutions, system solutions for data processing and integration between systems and providing communication interfaces. Robotics, including the use of collaborative or sentient robots, is an integral part of the direction, as is the introduction of advanced elements of visualisation and projection of measured data, including the use of mixed/augmented reality.
