Department of mechatronic systems and robotics

The department is focused on HW, SW and other fields appearing at the interface of various industrial technologies and information systems. This topic includes advanced sensors, actuators and data processing techniques.

Science

The main objectives and activities of the department:

  • Industry electronics, specific electronic components for automation, communication and advanced measuring.
  • Application of advanced sensors and actuators.
  • Programmable hardware, systems based on microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Software for industrial automation (PLC), including distributed systems.
  • Advanced and innovative solutions with robots, including collaborative robots (Kuka, Fanuc, ABB).

 Cooperation offered:

  • Contracted and cooperative R&D&I activities related to industrial technologies.
  • Data processing
  • Electronics and software for interfacing mechanic and information systems.
  • Application of innovation solutions with robotic systems.
