Towards the future with electromobility

2. 4. 2023

Electromobility is moving forward by leaps and bounds. At TUL's Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation, we are developing a fully electric autonomous vehicle with human senses. In order to successfully face new challenges as a modern research institute, we are personally testing our innovations and visions in real life. And our employees are among those who can turn existing visions into reality very quickly.

The Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technology and Innovation puts the results of its research into practice. It is currently coming up with a new project in which researchers have focused on passenger transport by electric vehicles to work. With this project, TUL wants to set an example for other institutions and companies in the field of electromobility.

"The vision of electromobility for urban mobility is very important to us. Electric cars are cleaner, quieter and their operation does not produce emissions. We believe that electromobility will play an increasingly important role in the future of transport and contribute to sustainable urban development. Research focused on electric vehicles and/or hydrogen alternatives at our institute is a step not only towards promoting these values, but also towards developing new technologies and initiatives in the field of clean mobility," says CXI Director Miroslav Černík.

One of the really active ones is Stanislav Petrík. He shows the future of electric vehicles. He chose the elBlesk tricycle for his transport to work. It has really rich equipment: alloy wheels, LED lighting, colour parking camera, USB port, phone charger, electric windows. The tricycle has a refined interior. It has a heater and can be ridden all year round even in Liberec, i.e. in rain, snow and uphill. It is comfortable and its operation is ecological and economical.

A few months after the project manager of the Modular Platform for Autonomous Chassis of Specialized Electric Vehicles for Cargo and Equipment Transport, Assoc. Michal Petrů appeared in a debate on Czech Television on the topic of electromobility, this motivated several employees of the university to acquire electric trolleys and cars. His goal is also to motivate all existing CXI partners and our entire supplier ecosystem to actively support electromobility so that CXI, TUL and collaborating companies can improve their competitive advantage through new technology development, greater innovation and cost reduction.
