Summer camp "Forgotten Valley": Dragon adventures in Posázaví

16. 7. 2024

Summer is here and with it the children's camp "Forgotten Valley". This camp has a long and rich tradition and takes place in the beautiful Posázaví region below the village of Drahňovice, not far from Český Šternberk, in the protected landscape area Drahňovice Wetlands. Under the auspices of the 3rd Pioneer Group there are four runs throughout the holidays. And our colleague from CXI TUL Martin Šetina is an experienced and popular leader of the first run.

This year the camp is alive with "dragon adventure". Young campers enjoy camp games, completing challenges and various creative activities. One of them was searching for dragon eggs in the woods during a night game. The children found them with a UV lamp and gradually figured out how to get into them and open the shell. This was revealed when they blew on the dragon ocarina and all the troops successfully discovered the little dragon inside the egg.

"The guys from the 3D Technology Department of CXI TUL made small barnacles for us, which we prepared as neck charms for the children. Our campers had to literally forge them out of plaster dragon eggs and they had a lot of fun", says Martin Šetina, who has been organizing and leading holiday camps for many years.

In both cases, powder was used to make the eggs and dragon amulets. "In the first case it was enough to add water to the plaster powder, in the second case it was enough to add HP's Multi Jet Fusion technology to the polyamide powder. In both cases it is a very instant solution. For children, for fun and for work," adds Pavel Francírek, our expert in 3D technology, who printed the barrels.

The camp in the Forgotten Valley is full of laughter, new friendships and unforgettable experiences. The children thoroughly enjoyed this year's dragon adventure and look forward to next year.

Have a wonderful summer!
